Chapter 12 & 13

Just in time for Red Ribbon Week, we will be discussing Alcohol and Drugs for the last bit of the term. Please remind your students to keep up with their work.

Chapter 11 begins

We are winding down the first term, and I am trying to remind the students to be sure to keep up with their work. Please note that all extra credit is due by 10/23 and all late work is due by 10/30.

The schedule for Chapter 11 is as follows:

10/14 Begin Chapter 11 lesson 1; DR #1-12
10/15 ch 11-2; DR #13-26
10/16-10/19 Fall Break, No School
10/20 ch 11-3, 4, & 5; DR #27-59
10/21 ch 11-6 & 7; DR #60-72
10/22 Correct DR
10/23 Open Book Test on Chapter 11

We will be following up chapter 11 with a combined unit of chapters 12 & 13 to finish up the term.

Whoa!!!

This week came and left in a blur, and so did Chapter 6! The good news is that the students are taking this test open book, so hopefully it won't be too stressful.

Speaking of stress, here is what I have planned for the next chapter which is, ironically, about stress and dealing with stress in our daily lives. This is a very short chapter as well.

10/5 begin Chapter 8 lesson 1, DR #1-8
10/6 8-2, DR#9-18
10/7 8-3 & 4, DR#19-35
10/8 Work on "Stress Kits"
10/9 Video on Stress, Meditation
10/12 Correct Directed Reading, review for the test
10/13 Take Ch 8 test
