And now we can begin SCIENCE!!!

YAY! We made it through Health and now we get to focus on Science! I know that many students have been patiently waiting for this part of the school year. We started last week with a brief science introduction, including scientific method, and this week we will learn about Matter until Christmas break.

11/8 Powerpoint on atoms, finish timeline
11/9 Finish Atom questions, Periodic table
11/10 Atoms quiz, grade atoms questions, if time atom snowflakes
11/11 Chapter 1 lesson 1 on Matter, Measuring mass and volume, matter questions
11/12 Notes on matter, finish questions

11/15 States of matter (chapter 2)
11/16 Notes on states of matter, Diffusion
11/17 Finish states of matter, begin chemical changes
11/18 Bill Nye Chemical Reactions, States of matter quiz
11/19 Grade the rest of matter questions, review for Matter test

11/22 Matter Test ***Students who do not pass the test will take a relearn/review class for two days and retake the test on 11/30 to achieve a better score*. Students who pass the first time will be in science enrichment classes for these two days.
* Please note that students who score above but would like to retake the test for a higher score may do so for an average of their two test scores. This will be done through REAL time and must be arranged with me before it can take place.
11/23 go over test

11/29 Enrichment/Reteaching
11/30 Enrichment/ Retake test
