YAY! We made it through Health and now we get to focus on Science! I know that many students have been patiently waiting for this part of the school year. We started last week with a brief science introduction, including scientific method, and this week we will learn about Matter until Christmas break.

11/10 Chapter 1 lesson 1 on Matter, Measuring mass and volume, matter questions
11/11 Notes on matter, finish questions
11/14 States of matter (chapter 2) pg 32-35, notes
11/15 Grade 1-1 questions, states of matter, Diffusion Quiz on states of matter
11/16 Finish states of matter, expansion and contraction, begin chemical changes
11/17 Bill Nye Chemical Reactions, review for test
11/18 Matter test
11/21 Reteaching/enrich *** Students that pass the test will go to science enrichment activities, while those who need more specialized help will be retaught and have the opportunity to retake the test.
11/22 Retesting/enrich
11/23-11/25 No school for Thanksgiving
